Our Mission
We want to grow closer to God and each other: We desire to have sweet fellowship and bear each other’s burdens. We love to pray for one another and for others. We want to win people to Christ and disciple them. Every year we participate in the church camp of our local Baptist Association to reach kids and youth and prepare them for ministry. Our youth serve as ushers and singers. We want to reach those believers not involved in a church and do all we can for God’s kingdom before Jesus returns.
What We Believe
We are a small friendly church with traditional worship. We love and help each other. We belong to the Southern Baptist Convention and the Arkansas River Valley Baptist Association. We are evangelistic and believe that the Bible is without error and the standard for Christian living. We preach expository messages from the Bible.
Pastor Larry Pless
Larry Pless was born in Russellville, Arkansas and graduated from Russellville High School in 1978 and Arkansas Tech University in 1982. He attended Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee from 1983-1986. He was saved and baptized at age 11. He served as Sunday School Superintendent while in college. He was called into the ministry while in college and was a leader in the youth rallies of the local association. He has served as interim pastor and substitute preacher for many churches. He was ordained November 19, 2006 and became pastor of East Point Baptist Church.
